I don’t think many viruses can jump the species barrier;
My cat and I are always sick at the same time. I’ve talked to a couple doctors, nurses, and even my biology teacher and they just simply said that maybe he or I are just sensitive to eachother’s sickness. And that he or I are making ourselves sick (sort of like how prego woman’s lover have the same symptoms as their prego lover).

Are you talking about Diflucan (fluconazole)? If so below is a link to an article about the possible side effects.

If you haven’t been prescribed this drug by a vet, I wouldn’t use it on your dog since this can only treat yeast and fungi. And only your vet can determine exactly what your dog has.

I agree with Goldengal. There are different medications for yeast and fungal infections. Some are OK for dogs, some not. Also calculating the dose a dog can be tricky due to size difference. To be safe, I wouldn’t do it. Some things that appear to be yeast infections are actually something else. These skin issues can be a challenge. I think a vet visit is best. Will likely save $$ in the long run.

There are different kinds of yeast infections so I would not use any meds for my dog unless my vet approved it first.

No there is nothing over the counter you can put into a dog’s ear to help. Your just gonna have to go to a vet to get some ear ointment (antibiotic), they have different kinds otomax,panalog, and triotic. Your vet will give you one of these. If the infection is really bad, they may give an oral antibiotic also. I know that’s not the answer you wanted to hear , but you will have to do it because your dog will only get worse to the point where she will start having a problem with her equilibrium.

Well back in the 60’s on the farm, I used warmed up garlic oil….it worked every time….had over 100 head of cattle, 9 sows, one boar, 9 horses a dog and cat and lots of babies from all these animals. I think thats a safe bet too try this…natures antibotic, so some research…..lol
